Today Nick & Dr. Joanna will be continuing the discussion on "Pharma to Dharma: From Pharmaceuticals Back to Nature" as it applies to the use of Hypnotherapy in place of, or to minimize the use of pharmaceuticals. The Wetsern model of quick fix medicine is just not working, for doctors and patients alike. Patients are finally realizing that the "quick fix" really isn't giving them the desired result or cure that they are looking for, and doctors are starting to feel that this is not the way to truly practice medicine so that healing on all levels can be invited to occur. Learn how hypnotherapy can be a very viable and safe approach to changing our consciousness to break thinking patterns that do not serve us.
Adverse Drug reactions are the 4th leading cause of death and pharmaceutical companies still continue to rake in billions by marketing and selling disease. How do they do that? By creating new diagnoses that fit into the effects of the drug that is already on the market, but that is usually close to patent expiration. This occurs particularly with psychotropics - drugs for anxiety, insomnia, depression and a variety of other psychiatric illnesses. Many people do not realize that sometimes the side effects of these drugs are exactly that which they are designed to treat. Find out how hypnotherapy can be used alone or to augment any other modality of healing in what promises to be a very interesting discussion.

How many times have you stepped on the scale, full of hopeful anticipation and a week of eating healthy and working out, only to be disappointed by the number staring back at you? Suddenly, that great feeling of accomplishment you had vanishes and you tell yourself that, again, you failed. No matter how hard you try, you can’t lose weight. Sound familiar?
For so many who are trying to lose or manage our weight, the scale is our main tool for measuring our progress. Unfortunately, we often allow it to measure our self-worth, too. While the scale can be a good way to measure progress, it shouldn’t be your only indicator of health and change. In fact, using it as your only form of measurement can result in obsession, negative thinking and a possible decrease in your motivation level. Tune in 5/20 at noon ET to learn more.

Grief is a normal and natural response to loss. Though we often expect to grieve the death of a family member or friend, many other significant losses can also trigger grief. Examples include:
The end of a relationship A move to a new community A much-anticipated opportunity or life goal is suddenly closed to us The death of a pet Someone we love contracts a potentially life-threatening illness Grieving such losses is important because it allows us to ‘free-up’ energy that is bound to the lost person, object, or experience—so that we might re-invest that energy elsewhere. Until we grieve effectively we are likely to find reinvesting difficult; a part of us remains tied to the past.
Grieving is not forgetting. Nor is it drowning in tears. Healthy grieving results in an ability to remember the importance of our loss—but with a newfound sense of peace, rather than searing pain. Join Dr. Darren as he guides us into the Heart of the Matter of the role our subconscious mind plays with Healthy Grieving. Infinite Love & Gratitude!
