Stephanie shares how she received a TBI from a car accident 22 years ago and was told she would never be able to walk again. Hear how she overcame those odds and is now an active runner, including finishing the Boston Marathon in 2014.
Stephanie is the founder of www.shareyourstrong.org a 501C3 non profit whose mission is: "to bring awareness to brain trauma and encourage and inspire the lives of people who have been affected by this silent epidemic."
Both Stephanie and myself are volunteers for the Brain Injury Association of America's Advisory Council (BIAAC) and continue to be loud and proud advocates for all brain injury survivors!

Paul is located in Louisiana and has founded BBQ4TBI.org in which he raises money for the Brain Injury Alliance. “It is hard to be a patient with a brain injury, but it is harder to be a caregiver, “says Kristen Schreier, MA, CCC-SLP, speech pathologist at HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Toms River.“You cannot expect yourself to be able to take care of someone if you are not well yourself, or at the top of your game.”
Kristen has been a speech pathologist with HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Toms River, New Jersey since 2007. Kristen received her master’s degree from The College of New Jersey. She is a Certified Brain Injury Specialist and is the hospital’s program champion for the brain injury program. In January 2016, Kristen became a facilitator to train other healthcare professionals to obtain brain injury specialist certifications. She also works with Monmouth University in West Long Branch, New Jersey as an adjunct professor and clinic supervisor. Kristen is dedicated to educating patients, families, and other clinicians about brain injury diagnoses, recovery, and the necessity of therapy.

THE Cross Country TBI Survivor bicycle rider turned Political 'pest' Mr. Daniel Mallino, and he'll join in at the bottom of the first hour as we share some stories, Holiday Hope's and his deep work on Capitol Hill in D.C. Try to play some Merry Rock again tonight, but prevent me! Keep calling in, give me your oppion. I learn and admit when wrong. I mean, it is 6'o'clock p.m., surely I've been wrong at some point today. We share, listen and understand another. Wouldn't live be just grand if all folks could look at life as a BI Survivor does?

I'll discuss my FOUR visits to my Neurophycologist this past week, and what I've learned this time, to share. But, I'm still thinking on it ALL. And at 1pm on Monday, I'll be there again. No one on MY idea of life teaches TBI life to me better than Dr. Samantha Backhaus. If it wasn't so late Indy-Time, I bet she's call in. Every one join in the begining of Christmas Week. My guest tonight is James Durham III, friends call him Jimmy Jam. He had done many different jobs, but his main focus has been in real estate property management, specifically apartments. Talking to people, helping people get a good place to live and just helping people in general, has always been something he likes to do. He never sits still always working, working out, having fun, and being positive no matter what, for negativity is poison. We have all been granted a ravishing life thanks to God. We are all truly rich because it is filled with things that are worth more than money and shine brighter than any diamonds...Supportive family, friends that become family, our animals & the author of heaven, supply a beautiful world & equisite life!
