...a Higher Power? Do you have a "HIGHER POWER?" For many of us who were "OUT THERE" caught up in our Addictions, the thought of a HIGHER POWER frustrated us, confused us, horrified us, frightened us. Like being invited to a party - we enter into the program of Recovery (A.A.) hoping that we could find shelter from the storm of life that was literally kicking our asses. From possibly the very first meeting - we recognized that there was a sense of Spiritual Acknowledgement - permeating the rooms. This created a unnerving fear rising up from the depths of our SOULs, hoping upon hope that GOD wouldn't see us and strike us dead - on the spot - for all of our past sins we committed against HIM and our fellow man. And yet even with this fear - we stayed and listened - hoping that we wouldn't be outed and hoping that we could enjoy some more of this refuge from the nightmares of the world outside those doors. WHEW! WHAT MEMORIES OF DAYS GONE BY! Join us this coming weekend - March 27th 2016 - EASTER SUNDAY as we discuss HIGHER POWERS from our own persoanl experiences.
