The Male Ego, women mock it, but is it needed?

Is it the Male's pride? Isn't pride his driver?!?" So don't you need pride n ego?" I find it interesting that women are so focused and value their emotions and the affect of mistreating their emotions has on relationships, yet conversely label a man's emotions often as his “Ego” and elude to the notion that it is extremely frivolous and distracting from real things of virtue and substance. Do you agree or disagree with this line of thinking? Do you see the value in nurturing and supporting a man's “Ego”?
