We all know that the number one thing that most people want from one another in life is respect. "You ain't gotta like me, but you damn sure better respect me". Isn't that how the saying goes? Well, does that hold true in marriages/relationships? What does respect really mean in a relationship? Many times we equate respect with what we want to GET from the relationship, but in actuality is respect what your spouse wants and whether or not you GIVE it? Is it true that it's only important that the man in the relationship receives the utmost respect/reverence, and women receive love? R-E-S-P-E-C-T, find out what it means to me! Tonight from midnight-2AM.
Women tend to see the detractors in their mate, and then create and hold on to expectations of what the women feel are the potentials for their man to "evolve" into(or live up to)...This can often lend to misery and nagging etc, as females are thus relegated to their fantasies of their mates "potentials". Thus we have women initiating divorce at a very high rate compared to men, and in most cases this will be due to their perpetual feelings of their respective expectations not being met…
