Although most people know that balancing their checkbook at least once a month keeps things in order and it prevents overdrafts on their account, many don't do it.
Did you know that overdrafts are a sign of crisis living and sloppy, lazy money habits? But especially with the growing use of debit cards, overdrafts have become common -- and the banks are racking up fees like crazy in "overdraft protection." In fact, the Center for Responsible Lending reported that overdraft fees alone brought in 10.3 billion for the banks in a single year recently."

Stop for a second and really think about it: is there anything more important to you than your values? Where you live, how much you spend, what you focus your time and energy on -- all are affected by your values.
Perhaps most important, once you and your partner have clearly and specifically defined your values, you'll find yourselves much more motivated to put in the effort it takes to stick to your new Purpose-Focused Financial Plan.

When two people work together to accomplish a goal, they can usually achieve it twice as fast as either of them would have working alone. This is certainly true when it comes to your money. The sooner you start working together, the more quickly you can dramatically improve your financial picture. The key is to truly believe that whatever you are starting from--no matter how bad or bleak it looks --things can and will get better.

Most of us don't really think about how we spend our money--or if we do,we focus soley on the big items. At the same time, we ignore the small but steady expenses that drain away our cash.
We don't think about what it cost us to earn our money and we don't realize how much wealth we could have if, instead of wasting it, we invested it.
The point is, you work hard for your money, and your money should work just as hard for you!
Plan Together...Win Together.

ABOUT THE STARS OF "COUPLES IN THE KITCHEN"
One evening during a conversation with his partner Chef. D, Kory shared his concern about the lack of bonding time exhibited by today's modern family. Chef D. having the same thoughts, concurred. It was in that moment that the two of them began to brainstorm. The wanted to come up with a way to re-ignite a desire in American families to spend more time together, bonding. Before long the concept of "Couples In The Kitchen" was born. Kory and Chef D. decided to create a short video series that would reintroduce their family & friends to the idea of getting together, spending time, relating to one another over great food, conversation and light entertainment. They were optimistic that the videos would prompt others to get back to the basics of enjoying life together, again. With that in mind, Kory began to train under his partner Chef D. and has since mastered the culinary skills which has earned him the title of Sous Chef. Now, what started as a way to bond and share quality time with family and friends, quickly grew into something more.Soon, social media was buzzing with positive comments and requests for more videos.
Chef D. and Kory Ward are now Co-Creators & Co-Hosts of a new weekly television series, "Couples In The Kitchen." You can follow the chefs online at: Twitter.com/couplesnkitchen, Facebook.com/couplesinthekitchen.

Romantic relationships don’t come with instructions… unless your partner happens to be a robot, in which case the answer is no. You cannot ask it to lounge in the hot tub with you.
When it comes to relationships, we mostly wing it until we crash or are flying dangerously low to the ground. But what about flying smarter, reducing turbulence faster and making the journey as smooth as possible in all kinds of weather? Aviation antics aside, we let relationships go south when we stop supporting their long-term success by making short-term investments in maintenance and innovation.
In this show we will learn smart strategies to work through disagreements and tension, and gain tools to feel connected and appreciated in a short period of time. Whether you and your partner are flying through sunny weather or storms,
