  • KNOT: Wants versus Needs - There IS a Difference

    in Romance

Somehow, someway, somewhere, someday, we have all been tricked into believing that the things that we want in life are the same as the things that we need in life. While you may sometimes want the things you need, you do not always need the things that you want; nor do you also want the things you need the most. In relaitonships, this fluidity of understanding plays out in the worst of ways if people are not careful of the pitfalls. Join us for the discussion.

  • THEMANMINDSET.com WAITING 44 HOURS TO PLEASE YOU WIFE?

    in Romance

Our radio show is more than just making self-proclamations of being "real" men, it's a state of mind and a way of life. First and foremost, we do not hate ladies. But we cant stand the 98% of women out there who feel entitled for free drinks and dinners. Although we are brutally honest and unyielding in our views on soft males, single mothers, and mad black women, we do not promote hating or completely disrespecting women. However, we DO hate and disrespect is the never-ending BS that too many men have to go through on a daily basis when dealing with most women and society. In other words, we have no problem expressing absolute contempt towards any irrational, disrespectful, and/or unrealistic behavior or attitude that is normally portrayed by women. We are feverishly working to put an end to all of that.

Fasting is beneficial whether you fast partially or fully. One day fasts on a consisitaent basis will strengthen your spirit over time and give you the ability to discipline yourself for longer fasts. Three day fasts with just water are a powerful way to see breakthroughs. Fasts longer than three days should be done by people with more experience in fasting. Long fasts are not recommended unless there is an emergency or if one is led by the Holy Spirit to do so. A partial fast can include some food such as vegetables and can be done for long lengths. Complete fasts  consist of water only, and  water is important to cleanse the system of toxins that are released through fasting. The Holy Spirit will reveal to you when you need  to fast. A fasted lifestyle is a powerful lifestyle.

  • Urban Therapy with Sun #99 The Elite Gentlemen Club For Our Youth

    in Lifestyle

I'm pretty sure that by now you've grown tired of seeing our young Black men running around with their pants hanging down with their sneakers untied looking like they slept in their clothes. It probably makes you cringe when you hear our young men speaking as though they have never heard of proper English, acting as if they have no manners and showing very little respect for their elders or their peers. You probably have wondered what is going to become of their future when you see young men with tattoos everywhere including faces and some of them entering the criminal justice system at alarming young ages. This young generation really does appear to be headed for a lot of trouble and it can leave you wondering: Why aren't their any youth mentoring programs to show these young men the way to be and the way to go the way grown folks used to? Well there is one that is doing some extraordinary things with our young Black men that is already restoring our confidence in them, our belief in them, our faith and expectations of them. The Elite Gentlemen Club (EGC) based in Atlanta, GA has developed a youth mentoring club that is revolutionizing the way that we train our young brothers for the future. They are teaching them the way to dress, the way to speak, the proper way to conduct themselves in public and in private. They are showing them the value of achieving academic excellence in school and showing them how far in life that that can take them. They are showing them the way to become entrepreneurs by exposing them to successful movers and shakers in various industries and showing them the way to approach those people by training them with impeccable interpersonal skills. We will be talking to the founders and organizers of the EGC and giving a detailed explanation of what they are doing and letting you know what you can do to get involved.

    in Culture

Over the years, there has been significant debate on the impact that interracial relationships have on the black community as a whole. As more blacks become conscious of their history and heritage, they are viewing interracial relationships in a different light. Is it okay for a black man to bypass a black queen to marry a white women? Does a black woman slight her race when she chooses to marry a white man? These are questions that need to be examined in depth. We will do just that in this episode of Real Talk with Rick and J. Rich.

  • A Different Kind Of Love—Gender Identity: Never Apologize For Being You

    in LGBT

“Gender expression” refers to the ways in which we each manifest masculinity or femininity.  Each of us expresses a particular gender every day – by the way we style our hair, select our clothing, or even the way we stand. Our appearance, speech, behavior, movement, and other factors signal that we feel – and wish to be understood – as masculine or feminine, or as a man or a woman.
For some of us, our gender expression may not match our biological sex. We may or may not fit another's expectations of masculinity or femininity because of the way we look, act, or dress.  Our guest knows firsthand the struggle of not feeling her assigned sex. Author Tracy James Jones, though born male, has been referred to as “she” throughout her life.  She never fully embraced the male gender as her own because she always felt or related more to being viewed as female.  At the age of fifteen, she made a tearful confession to God on the altar at her church—she finally embraced her true self because she believed that God loved her, too.

    in Lifestyle

Just what is bisexuality? Perhaps the least understood members of the LGBTQ community are our bisexual sisters and brothers. Is it merely a romantic attraction, sexual attraction or sexual behavior toward both males and females? Does it also encompass romantic or sexual attraction to people of any gender identity or to a person irrespective of that person's biological sex or gender? What’s the difference between pansexuality and being polyamourous?  President of BiNet USA Faith will talk about  and not only define the “B” in LGBTQ but also dispel many of the myths and discrimination faced by the bisexual community. As President of BiNet USA, Faith Cheltenham helps coordinate bisexual advocacy, outreach and networking efforts for the bisexual, pansexual and fluid communities in America.  It is the oldest national bisexuality organization in the United States. Are you bisexual? Do you feel misunderstood, excluded and even discriminated against by members of the GAY community?  Do you want your voice to be heard?

  • Paradoxical Issues in Coaching

    in Lifestyle

Patricia Hirsch, MCC, interviews Alain Cardon, MCC.  Alain shares how over the years, working in executive, team and organizational coaching contexts has often been a challenge. Gradually working through the paradox of resistance to change or that people and systems ask for change in order to limit change, he has had to find strategies to accompany them, and himself in this exploration process. This has allowed Alain to develop specific individual, team and organizational coaching tools and strategies that he finds very powerful.
Master Certified Coach since 2002, mostly recognized for his specific competencies in systemic executive coaching, team coaching and organizational coaching, Alain Cardon is also a systemic coach trainer and coach supervisor with coach students in France, Belgium, Spain, Germany and Romania where he has opened a systemic coaching school in 2007.
As far as his personal style for executive coaching, life coaching, team coaching and organizational coaching clients, Alain has developed a direct, confronting and empowering coaching approach which may be defined as a blend of brief, systemic, creative, and breakthrough posture and techniques. Although French national and part-time resident, his intensely international personal life and career also makes it difficult to define Alain’s executive coaching heritage as originating from one or another coaching school of thought, one or another national frame of reference.
