Rashaun Granberry is one of the many hundreds and hundreds of Chicagoans who stood in the long line at St. Sabina Church in hopes of being hired as an extra for film producer Spike Lee's proposed movie "Chiraq" about the horrendous gang violence in Chicago. But unlike those who just read about the problem and shake their heads, Rashaun has witnessed it, lived it, seen others die from it, and is now launching a new clothing line to combat it and generate employment for those trapped the hopeless cycle of poverty, drugs, gangs, prison and death. "Bustin' Loose Clothing" is the name of the uniquely designed line of shirts, sweatshirts, pants, hats, and other accessories, symbolizing that todays youth are "bustin' loose" from the limitations that held them back from achieving their highest goals in life. Rashaun shares his story so that others may break free from the trap of drug sales, gang violence, prison and death laid by those who plan to profit from hopeless, directionless inner city youth.
