This is the first of our five part series bringing attention to the horrors of the unhoused epidemic happening in Los Angeles and nationwide. The website homeless.lacounty.gov reports "A humanitarian tragedy is unfolding in plain sight in virtually every corner of Los Angeles County. Nearly 58,000 men, women and children are unhoused on any given night. Houselessness knows no boundaries and affects people of all walks of life." As you will learn, unresolved childhood trauma and a life riddled with poverty is at the root of this horrific epidemic.
