Today on NHCD be prepared to be charmed and humbled by the amazing Daphne Willis! Daphne talks to Donald about being a "pop" song writer in a traditionally "country" music town and how surprisingly seamless the process can actually be. Daphne describes Nashville as distinct from either LA and NY music scenes as in Nashville there remains a focus on the lyrics and the craft of writing lyrics with story and continuity. Daphne reminds us that, “song writers can write a melody, (but in Nashville) its all about the phonetics and phrasing of something, actually creating something meaningful within that melody.” Daphne talks to Donald about the inspiration behind her new song "Dopamine" and her road of recovery from addiction to inspiration. Daphne is proof that facing personal weakness, can create strength and purpose…Oh yeah and did we mention TOM BEAUPRE is guest-hosting??? Listen Now!
