This is the Second Coming Watch Sunday Roundup for July 20, 2014. On the Roundup we feature the top 10 prophecy-related news stories that happened this past week which point towards the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ and the end of the world as we know it.

1. Fighting intensified and casualties mounted on Sunday as Israel put more soldiers on the ground and pushed deeper into Gaza, and heavy shelling drove the death toll higher while cease-fire efforts floundered.

2. President Obama said the United States has "increasing confidence" that the missile that shot down a Malaysian jetliner came from Russian separatists in Ukraine -- and that Russia bears some responsibility for the crisis.

3. Iran and six world powers agreed to continue talking for four more months after failing to meet a July 20 deadline to reach a deal on curbing the Iranian nuclear program in exchange for ending sanctions, enabling Tehran to access $2.8 billion of frozen cash.

4. A rocket likely fired from Gaza hit Egypt's Rafah border crossing with the embattled Palestinian enclave on Saturday, wounding one soldier. 

5. The U.S. Geological Survey has released new data showing that earthquake risks have increased for numerous locations across the United States. New science shows these areas are among many geologic hot spots with greater threats for heavier earthquakes than once believed. 

6. The Islamic State group has threatened Christians in the Iraqi city of Mosul with death if they do not to convert to Islam or pay a tax.

7. Pastor John MacArthur of Grace Community Church in California recently reacted to denominations (such as the Presbyterian Church USA) that have taken more liberal approaches to homosexual marriage. MacArthur said, "They have no relationship to scripture, they are the apostate church, they are Satan's church."
