Iran: The Global Terrorist threat

In this episode, I talk about Iran being a global terrorist threat. There is no question that the rulers in Iran are all dumber than a bunch of Neanderthals; as the population [especially the younger generation] get killed in the streets for wanting freedom. I'm not advocating a direct invasion of Iran. But it is clear that the Ahmadinejad and the Nazi Ayatollahs want to destroy Israel, America, and the free world. It's clear that giving Islamic Fundamentalist fanatics nuclear weapons is clearly extremely dangerous for the world and is a recipe for an apocalpyptic war. MAD [Mutually Assured Destruction], which kepted the Soviet Union in check, is, to say the [very] least, not guarenteed to keep Iran in check; as the ideology of the Nazi Neanderthals, who run Iran, is a Jihadist ideology, which believes that Muslims who die in Allah's global Jihad against the west, will go to heaven and even get 72 virgins. Muslims, who die in the Jihad against the free world, are seen as heroic martyrs. Can MAD restrain Iran and other Jihadists from using nuclear weapons? Even if Iran doesn't diretly use a nuclear weapon, what about Iran giving nuclear missiles to Hamas, Hezbollah, and other Islamic terrorist groups, which would use them against Israel and against America? Today, I discuss the Iran threat and why it is a threat.
Disclaimer: I know what many of you are thinking. I will strive to do as little as possible to talk about shows on BTR or to talk about the BTR world generally.

Schad both KILLED on Monday in the Jalrez District f Afghanistan after being attacked by small arms fire. In January 2009, Obama succeeded Bush. Neocons stuck around. They infest Washington. War gets their juices flowing. They urge it on Syria and Iran. Potential catastrophic consequences don’t matter. Uber-hawks don’t worry about them. It’s someone else’s problem. The inspection teams of the International Atomic Energy Authority (IAEA) that monitor compliance with the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, to which Iran belongs, have entered Iran numerous times and, while remaining suspicious, have not been able to find that country on the direct road to the Bomb. While many western and some Arab countries in the Gulf region have condemned Iran's alleged nuclear arms quest, Israel maintains some 200 ready nuclear weapons and has refused to sign the non-proliferation treaty, thereby avoiding the IAEA inspectors. The Iranian regime, with a national GDP smaller than Massachusetts, is terrified. It is surrounded by powerful adversaries, including the U.S. military on three of its borders. President George W. Bush labeled Iran, along with Iraq and North Korea, one of the three "axis of evil," and Teheran knows what happened to Iraq after that White House assertion. They also know that North Korea inoculated itself from invasion by testing nuclear bombs. And all Iranians remember that the U.S. overthrew their popular elected Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh in 1953 and installed the dictatorial Shah who ruled tyrannically for the next 27 years.

The corporate media of the West has repeated so many lies about the nuclear program and other imaginary threats from Iran that we need to get the word out about the truth. It is important that Americans understand the political scene in Iran, how it developed and the hopeful signs that democracy might still be possible.
In order to avoid war with Iran we have to begin to think of other nations in terms of their people, not their governments. As Americans are beginning to understand, there is a wide gulf between the two. Only in a democracy does the government reflect the people. The US government has no business trying to impose democracy on other nations. To even encourage it, citizens have to first mold it into a democracy.
On May 18 our guest was Moji Agha, an Iranian-American bilingual poet and peace, human rights, and Earth activist. Trained as a cultural psychologist, he has founded many organizations and projects.
Moji's latest project is the Mossadegh Legacy Institute, a foundation established to honor the legacy of Iran's first democratically elected Prime Minister, who was overthrown in a CIA-engineered coup in 1953. Moji is currently on a lecture tour to raise awareness of the importance of understanding the real threat to world peace posed by the US and to promote a sane foreign policy.
