    Catherine W. Rouhana, a Baltimore native and second of 10 children, embarked on a unique life journey. Meeting her husband Nagib in college, they closed their Polish interest bookstore when his role at the World Bank led to a position in Saudi Arabia. Living in Saudi Arabia and Lebanon during the late ’70s and early ’80s, the couple faced the perils of political involvement and the challenges of war.
    In 1986, Catherine moved back to the U.S. with her children, while Nagib remained in the Middle East. Over 18 years, she chronicled her experiences, learning about writing, publishing, and herself. Despite the international separation, family unity remained crucial.
    Catherine’s upcoming memoir reflects a life shaped by love, international adventures, and the enduring strength of family bonds amidst geopolitical complexities.
