When teens are hanging around with the wrong crowd, they will often engage in acts of violence. However, there are other cases where teens could become violent. This article focuses on some of the things that will make teens have violent streaks, including: •Gang involvement •Drug Use •Anger Issues Most teens who are involved in gangs will use violence to obtain what they want. It is very common for many fights to break out among teens in gangs. When this happens, it could pose many risks, including the possibility of death since many teen gang members carry weapons. You may think it’s cool to have a gang affiliation, but think again! When a teen has parents who have violent outbursts, the teen will learn this behavior. It is very common for teens that live in an abusive environment to be violent towards other people. They will typically become the playground bully and will display acts of violence towards their peers. This is a way for the teen to release their anger with an act they are familiar with due to their home environment. Some teens suffer from depression and anxiety for reasons ranging from relationship issues to being a target of bullying. When these teens have severe depression, it is not uncommon for them to become very angry. This poses a high risk of the teen using violence to deal with this anger as well as their depression. Exposing yourself to this world means that you’re exposed to all of the dangers listed above. As a teen, that is no way to start or live your life. While it’s true that everyone feels depressed from time to time, there may be some times when you feel like life isn’t worth living. Although many teens (and adults as well) experience these emotions, it is important to handle them in such a way that you can overcome strong negative feelings that can lead to the unthinkable. Teen suicide is a problem that effects more families than you know – and it is important to understand that there are many ways to get help.
