October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month
Is domestic violence a national health emergency?
NATIONAL DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS MONTH, 2013

BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
Since the passage of the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) nearly 20 years ago, our Nation's response to domestic violence has greatly improved. What was too often seen as a private matter best hidden behind closed doors is now an established issue of national concern. We have changed our laws, transformed our culture, and improved support services for survivors. We have seen a significant drop in domestic violence homicides and improved training for police, prosecutors, and advocates. Yet we must do more to provide protection and justice for survivors and to prevent violence from occurring. During National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we stand with domestic abuse survivors, celebrate our Nation's progress in combatting these despicable crimes, and resolve to carry on until domestic violence is no more.
October is domestic violence abuse awareness month and we have another inspirational story from a thriving survivor. Join us in our chat with Author Valerie Miller as she share with us her horrific physical, emotional and sexual abuse which began at age 21. Valerie silently endured abuse at the hands of her husband for seven years and almost lost her life. By the time she broke free, she was barely funcationing, low self-esteem, hurt, pain and the shame, Valerie knew she had to survive for herself and her children. She share her story not for sympathy but for young girls, women and men will be encouraged to "speak out and get out" for there is life after abuse. Her recently published book "Violence To Victory; Breaking The Chains of Domestic Violence Abuse is a must read. Purchase your copy at Amazon.com

In this podcast violence will be discussed from a Natural law rational perspective. Some people say that violence is NEVER the answer. That is NONSENCE! It depends on what the question is. All governments depend on violence &/or the credible threat of violence to maintain their power. Order requires violence. This country was created through the effective use of violence. A law that is NOT ultimately backed by the threat of violence is merely a suggestion. Violence is a universal language
