" I was born in 1959 in Sheffield, Alabama I was born with a birth defect called a cleft palate and lip. It impaired my speech and made me talk fun unlike other people back then they didn't have the technology to repair it. I grew up being bullied both mentally and physically because I was different from others in the way I talked and looked. I got into the martial arts to not only defend myself from the physical bullying but the mental bullying as well. I have been in the martial arts 51 years in Jan. 2020 I am a Grandmaster 10th Degree Black Belt in my own martial art system called: Mang Ho Ryu Tae Kwon Do System. My Instructor was Grandmaster Kang Rhee who was the Instructor of Elvis Presley, I am a direct student of Grandmaster Kang Rhee for 30 years he sadly passed away in Aug. 2019. I have been awarded many awards for my Anti-Bullying work in the community as well as working with Veterans who suffer from P.T.S.D. like myself. I was appointed a Kentucky Colonel by the Governor of Kentucky and in my home state of Alabama I was appointed Honorary Colonel of the State of Alabama Militia. I have won't 2 books my Prevailing Against Bullies My Life Story is my true life story of being bullied and how I prevailed. My other book is called : Tao Of Mang Ho Ryu Martial Arts a history of my martial arts training. I hope in the future to have my bully book made into a documentary or movie to help all who are or has been bullied."
