Call in to speak with the host
My annual Christmas Memories shows air in two parts each year, Saturday and Sunday prior to Christmas. In his seventh year of this popular family program, we have so much wonderful material, I am expanding to 3 nights! So tonight is part one, with parts 2 and 3 tomorrow and Sunday, concluding with the rare reading by author Truman Capote of his own "A Christmas Memory," plus additional stories and music. (A tearjerker every time)
Tons of new-old programs this year, with old time radio shows- some going back to 1930 will be aired over the 3 nights, including "How the Grinch Stole Christmas," "Pinocchio," "Holiday Inn," "Gift of the Magi," Ronald Reagan and Jane Wyman starring in "Christmas in Connecticut," "Miracle on 34th Street," starring Maureen O'Hara, Edmund Gwenn and John Payne; Jack Benny Show with Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall; traditional Christmas music and songs and too much to list.
Tonight's program will begin with Part 2 of "It's a Wonderful Life," starring Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed. Part 3 will air tomorrow, Sunday. Don't miss this very special family show that harkens back to the years when a family would gather around the radio and listen to stories where they could create their own imagery with their imaginations. Very special!
It's good to talk.
