Washington Tharpe of Washington DC, is a sexual abuse survivor and victim of street harassment.
The 40 year old middle school Spanish teacher made a routine trip to the ATM at a gas station
and suffered unwanted sexual advances from two strange women.
The two females groped his genitals, and twerked against him in public.
Leaving Mr. Tharpe feeling humiliated and embarassed!
He asked for help from the gas station attendants who were of no help.
Mr. Tharpe fled from the gas station, the women followed him outside.
He pulled into a car wash to shake them, they continued to persue him.
In fear of his saftey, he called the police. One of the women, Ayanna Marie Knight, was arrested.
When Tharpe found out the 22 year old woman faced up to 10 years in jail on sexual abuse charges,
and would have to register as a sex offended if she were to be convicted of her crimes, Tharpe, a
Christian and son of a pastor forgave the two young women and suspected prostitutes.
Tharpe not only wants any charges against the women dropped, he will not tesitify against them in court and he wants to help the young women
to find decent jobs in addition to joining womens support groups, become role models and help women who may be in similar situations at this point of their lives.
