It’s a common misconception that feminism employs misandry. There are a number of places where this misconception comes from, but regardless of the sources, they all have one thing in common: They serve to derail feminist conversations and distract from important issues at hand. In this episode, we will discuss the misconception that “all feminists hate men,” and address why it’s a troublesome stereotype.
Based on his article 5 Reasons Why So Many People Believe Feminism Hates Men and Why They’re Not True, Sam Killermann will debunk this misconception and reconcile feminism as a gender-inclusive movement.
Tonight we have as our guest The Common Man from the Youtube channel The Common Man Media. Formerly known as Gogononstop, TCM has been a member of the MRA you tube community for years and has been one of the most energetic proponents of the rights of male students in our education system. Covering topics from misandry to lack of due process when it comes to sexual assault cases on campus (specifically the “dear colleague letter or April 4th directive) he has gained a reputati
This week we will be dedicating our entire show to last week’s tragic suicide of Christian Adamek, a fifteen year old student at Sparkman High in Harvest Alabama. We will be talking about Sparkman High School principal Michael Campbell’s actions after the now infamous streaking incident and before Adameks death as well as activism efforts to get him removed from his job. We will also be talking about misandry in education and how it affects boys. We invite those who knew Christian to call in and share their thoughts and memories of him. Undoubtedly this will be a difficult episode to listen to and participate in. However, it is important that the issue of suicide and misandry facing young males today be tackled and dealt with.
Tonight on AVFM News and Activism we have as our guest prisoners rights activist Deborah Kendrick. We will be discussing with her conditions men face in prisons, non violent criminals in prison and how society deals with ex cons. The U.S. has nearly one in every one hundred of its citizens in resident incarceration, the highest percentage in the world and 86% of those are male so prisoners rights are very much a men’s rights issue as well as a humanitarian one. We've all had experience with this particular girl. You know the one, she has a passing interest in games and when she strides into a scene that's sprung up around men who have turned a love of games into a vibrant subculture… she says "now I get to make the rules. Because vagina."It doesn't matter if there are already women in the subculture, enjoying it for its own sake, she's the self-appointed queen bee and all must bow to her pronouncements. "Because vagina. And also rape."Anita is just the latest in a long line of girl interlopers who've decided they define the rules of gamer culture. Her bugbear? Damsels in Games. Her solution? Play the damsel to bring attention to how games promote the social role of damsel for women. One would think Anita scoring 150 thou for playing the damsel would do more to encourage damseling in women and in games since it obviously pushes men's buttons) then seeing a bunch of pixels arranged in the shape of a helpless princess… but, you know, "Vagina. Rape. Misogyny."The real kicker? Anita doesn't even have a passing interest in games. So she's demanding game makers remove damsels in distress to cater to the tastes of someone who will never give them any of the 150 thou she scored playing the damsel.Apparently the only one who can cash in on damseling is Anita. Maybe she's less a crusader against damseling and more a damseling monopolist.

Join us as we discuss why we exist in the first place and why we must find our way. We live in an age of increasing questions regarding the value of males to society. Have we forgot how we get here in the first place and the place where blessings initially take place.
As a woman involved in the Men's Movement, I'm often asked how it is that I came to be interested in men's issues. Sometimes the question is asked with skepticism, because, after all, why would a woman be interested in the rights of half the sentient beings that share the planet with her? Sometimes it's it's asked sincerely since the movement that's billed itself as women's voice in the world is also a movement that is virulently anti-male. And it's not like many women are correcting that perception. So why did I get involved? Why did we--that is the women who make an effort to bring awareness and engage in activism for men's issues--why do we get involved?Join me, Karen Straughan, Della Burton, Alison Tieman and special guest, Diana Davison as we discuss why we're involved in the movement for men's human rights.
Take two blue pills and call me when you’re compliant. Just a scant look between the lines and you can tell a one thing for certain about President Obama’s idea of “universal” healthcare. It’s anything but universal. In fact, it is saturated with sexually based privilege for women financed with a swift kick in the pants to men and boys. But is that really anything new, or is it just more of the same in system that has long operated on the idea that “t
This week we have as our guests none other than Paul Elam and Dean Esmay who will talk about the recent MHRA rally in Toronto over the weekend. This was an historic event that marked the first time MHRAs got together in public to express their views bringing the movement out of the digital medium and into the physical. Paul and Dean will be describing events from a personal prospective and we will discuss what this event means for the future of the MHRM. Also to be discussed is what this means for the opposition and how it will force them to change their strategies for countering the MHRM.
James Huff and Lucian Valsan will be taking calls from known activists attending Dr. Groth's lecture at the University of Toronto. In between calls, the hosts will cover news from around the world and discuss events as they unfold on the campus.
We will only be taking calls from known activists during this show.
Tune in and listen to live perspectives of events as they happen.
The show starts at 5PM Central time - one hour before Dr. Goth's lecture - and will continue for a full three hours.
Join us Saturday the 28th as we cover the Men and Boys in Crisis rally in Queen's Park in Canada's beautiful city of Toronto. We'll also be joined by the UK's own Mike Buchanan of the Justice for Men and Boys (and the women who love them) Party. We expect the show to run a full three hours as we talk about all the issues facing the men and boys in our lives who we love and care about, and the crisis so many are undergoing in Canada, the UK, the United States, Australia, India, and so many other parts of the world. We'll be featuring call-ins from the rally as well as general discussion of events, past and present, as they relate to the anti-male movement and our efforts to fight against it!
