Decade o' Love and Equality

Panic ensued. 20 years ago, Hawaii courts ruled it was unconstitutional discrimination to forbid gay marriage. Then 13 years ago, Vermont legalized civil unions, for all. Then a decade ago, MA legalized same-sex marriage. Panic all around, as at each stage states legalized anti-gay discrimination in law and amendment.

We sit on the furnace of love here in Boston. No matter how illogical, emotional or just plain silly the anti-equality sorts are, they keep at it. We heard many hours of that in testimony in Honolulu as many testifiers parroted the-sky-will-fall lingo that's been around for far too long. 

We'll talk about living in the belly of the beast. It's been warm and welcoming.
