On today's show, I discuss first the importance and significance of both the Thanksgiving holiday and the beginning of the Christmas season which began yesterday with Advent. I also point out the importance of praying for those less fortunate who suffer in poverty and oppression. I urge you to give to poor during the Christmas season as well. On the line of religion which is so important to Latinos, I read two important news articles related to that. Bishop Chaput of Philadelphia gives an interview regarding Pope Francis' visit there coming next year and comments on the nature of biased news reporting concerning the Pontiff's commentary. In another article concerning Pope Francis, the Pontiff met with Patriarch Bartholomew I in Istanbul, Turkey over the weekend and the Pontiff received the blessing of the Patriarch in the form of a kiss upon his head. This is a continuing of the efforts of reapproachment by Saint Pope John Paul, The Great, who sought to engage in diplomatic and religious amity with the Orthodox and Protestant Churches. Pope Benedict XVI also continued the effort and made great strides in connecting with members of the Episcopal Churches. Pope Francis continues this effort and this event marks another great stride forward as it is recognized that the two churches are co-equal and parallel in their direction. I then read an article about a Rasmussen poll that reportedly shows that 62% of "LIKELY' voters opposed Obama's executive action regarding immigration. Though I read the article I also criticize it as being biased and the poll as also being biased and aimed at propaganda possibly. I also read an article concerning the slight slowing of "Black Friday" sales this year. Lastly, I read briefly the news about the upcoming test launch of the new NASA space exploration capsule, Orion. I am very excited about this new spacecraft.
