Now you can! Meet Cara Koscinski, MOT, OTR/L, Pediatric Occupational Therapist, Speaker, and Author of "The Pocket Occupational Therapist for Families of Children with Special Needs." Cara has a Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy. Her career began in adult rehabilitation, however when both of her children were diagnosed with autism she quit her OT job to learn about autism and specialty pediatric therapy techniques to help her own children and family and others too. Her younger son also has Mitochondrial Disease. Despite the challenges, Cara’s attitude is positive with a strong passion to help families by empowering them.

She founded a successful pediatric practice specializing in autism and sensory issues, wrote four books about raising children with special needs with book five under contract! Cara speaks about autism across the US and offers continuing education for professionals in the US and UK. Cara also authored several other books, including "The Parent's Guide to OT for Autism & Special Needs" and her newest, "The Weighted Blanket Guide."  Her books are written from the perspective of a parent first, with strategies and techniques that can be used immediately. Her books have claimed 2 Family Choice Awards in 2015.
