Join Dave, The Caregiver's Caregiver, as he interviews Ellen Nielsen, a marketing and communications consultant based in Alberta, Canada.  She was also a caregiver to two parents with dementia (at the same time). Her parents moved in to care together and were fortunate to share a room until her mother's passing in 2003.

Ellen's caregiving duties included a lot of things she would rather have not done, including theft of a car, and yet she considers herself better and stronger for having done them. Her father passed in 2013, now making Ellen an ex-caregiver, a role which she says is just as challenging to embrace as the original task of becoming a caregiver.

You can find Ellen on facebook at facebook.com/caregiverconnexion - connection spelled with an x in the middle (because everything has to be just a little more complicated for caregivers - thanks Ellen).
