FlLawGirl is a licensed attorney in Florida since 2001.  She works in the areas of corporate law, focusing on Trademarks, Intellectual Property and Domain Law. 

After law school, she traveled to Caracas, Venezuela studying Latin American Legal Systems and International Law.  She has worked for South Florida companies such as Sensormatic Electronics, Tyco International and Corporate Creations, specializing in licensing and corporate regulations.  She has also worked in local government in South Florida as an Assistant City Attorney.

FlLawGirl is active in social issues concerning basic human rights.  She has been on numerous boards of non-profit organizations in Florida and Arkansas that promote justice for the LBGT community.  She is an active member of the Human Rights Campaign seeking equal treatment and fighting discrimination of the LBGT community throughout the U.S. 

Most recently she has been active in defeating the proposed RFRA in the Arkansas legislature which would have given the right to freely and openly refuse service and promote hate and discrimination to the LBGT community in Arkansas.
