Dream Catchers -The Power of Peer Support - Les Paul Morgan 20 years of peer support

Disabilities History Time Table and guide is designed to assist people with and without disabilities to learn about the rich history of people with disabilities. Thats why it is so important to be involved with Brain Injury Radio and the Disability Rights Movement!

I have been working in the Disability Rights movement for 20 years now at a Center for Independent Living Can anyone tell me what the services of Independent Living Centers and BIRN are so Important?

They are Advocacy, Information and Referral, Independent Living Skills, Peer Support and Mentoring, and Transition. Centers for Independent Living Make Community Living Possible Every Center for Independent Living has five core services that they must provide and, in our opinion, they are the Heart Beat and Life Blood of the Independent Living movement and Walton Options.

Why are focusing so much on Peer Support? Because without it we might as well close our doors in our opinion and go home! CILs and why having Effective Peer Support Programs led by and for and by people with disabilities is so very important to the Independent Living Movement.

Why is peer support so important? Lets talk about the Willow brook story and Geraldo Rivera  https://youtu.be/7mGngRPTmDc
