ASA,

In recognition of Father's Day, which will be on Sunday, June 21, we on Critical Discourse, will discuss that male aspect of the family dynamic, the father.

While we often pay tribute to our mothers (and we should), oftentimes, we neglect the father, sometimes even treating him as a joke.

So, we want to discuss fatherhood in general, the responsibilities, challenges and triumphs, from our own and observational points of view. Feel free t0 share your insights and stories with us.

In the meantime, as much as I was trying to ignore the NAACP / Rachael Dolezal fiasco, it was the comments of some of her defenders (Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Melissa Harris-Perry, Michael Eric Dyson, etc.) that fired me up to speak on this. And to be certain, all I say on Saturday, will be it, as for the most part, this obsession with this compulsive liar, serves nothing more than a distraction from important issues.

So desperate we've become as a people under liberal influence, to defend anything endorsed by MS-NBC and other liberal bastions, that we'd even defend a "black" woman, who history shows, was more than willing to take issue with a perceived advantage of being black.

Then, I understand that the majority of black America would support this liar over Justice Thomas (Oh, I get it; her "work" makes her "blacker" than he).

But, we will not lose focus on the primary topic, fathers / fatherhood..
