    "The SINS of the FATHER!"

    in Dads and Family

Exodus 20:5 “You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me.”

Exodus 34:6-7 “The Lord passed before him and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness, keeping steadfast love for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but who will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children and the children’s children, to the third and the fourth generation."

Is God saying that the children and the grandchildren of the father would have to pay for the sins of their father?  What does God mean by this?  Especially since Deuteronomy 24:16 says “Fathers shall not be put to death for their sons, nor shall sons be put to death for their fathers; everyone shall be put to death for his own sin” and that “The son will not bear the punishment for the father’s iniquity, nor will the father bear the punishment for the son’s iniquity; the righteousness of the righteous will be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked will be upon himself” (Ez 18:20).

Today on P2T we will explore the true meaning of what the Sins of the Fathers has transferred to this millenial generation.

    Lady Father on Life

    in Lifestyle

Join the Lady Father every Saturday afternoon at 3:00 pm for discussions on "life" and readings from the Rev. Susan Bowman's memoir, "Lady Father." This is her story - chronicling her perilous journey through the ordination process in the Episcopal Diocese of Southern Virginia in the 1980's, when women were not encouraged to apply, nor were they welcome. Her Bishop, the Rt. Rev. C Charles Vache' was an adamanant opponent to women's ordination and he told Susan that he could not ordain her, but in an unprecedented "about-face," he not only signed her application to seminary but helped to support her throughout seminary.
His complete "turn-around" is history in SoVa and his part in Susan's story is legendary in the Episcopal Church. You can hear Susan's stories about her "hero" and other excerpts from "Lady Father" on her weekly show. The book is available on her website - books purchased directly from her site will be autographed by the Lady Father.
Tune in every Saturday at 3:00 pm.

God the Father Needs to Be acknowledge

    in Christianity

Jesus says "if your believe on me then you should believe in the one who sent me."  There is power in recognizing the Father.  How much power depends on how much you recognize the Father in your life.  God is holding a special blessing for your life when you recongnize Him as your Father.  Jesus also said that if you have seen me than you have seen the Father--BUT bessed are we who believe and not seen.  When your soul can grasp this---oh the power from heaven will fall upon you.
