Event or Process? Wealth, Freedom, Liberty, Salvation... Which is it? E or P?

I know if you are at all like me (I am not sorry if you are) you often hear people comment about some "sudden" great success that they are an overnight sensation...  Or, you are with them as you drive by a big home and they say, "Boy aren't they so lucky they got all the good breaks and I got none!"  

Well, if you are like me, you wouldn't say that because I have always had a strong appreciation for those that achieve great things...  I don't and never have begrudged them.  This does not mean I endorse all that they do or say...  Just that I appreciate one very important immutable fact:

"Success is not an event.  No, success is a process."

The same can be said of freedom... and failure...  It is rarely one event that ruins one's life, or steals our hopeful future...  It is a process..  We are either responsible AND accountable, or we are responsible without being accountable...  We cannot be accountable without being responsible...
