Good morning! Today, on The Meter, we will cover tomorrow's Iowa caucus, as the 2024 race for the White House begins. Former President Donald Trump leads in the polling by a wide margin but still encourages his supporters to brave the weather conditions and cast their votes. Trump also continues to hit his Republucan opponents. Nikki Haley is predicting an upset in her favor while Ron DeSantis says his polling has the race much closer. Will Trump win big, or will there be a surprise?
Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin caused a severe firestorm by not disclosing his prostate cancer diagnosis. Austin told the story that he was undergoing an elective simple procedure. Joe Biden claims that not even he knew of Austin's condition. No one apparently was left in charge when the US bombed the Houthis in Yemen, and Austin gave the go-ahead from his hospital bed. Republicans are pushing for Austin's resignation, claiming he left the US in danger. What is going on in the Biden White House? In the Atlanta case against Donald Trump, DA Fani Willis is in a romantic relationship with the prosecutor Nathan Wade, prompting speculation that the case against Trump is simply a political persecution. Willis also reportedly is benefiting financially from the case. Georgia is essential in the upcoming presidential election, and polls have Trump topping Biden. Are Donald Trump's rights and due process being violated? Please join the discussion at 10AM. The call-in number is 347-308-8933. Your input is essential!
