LaKisha C. Brooks, MS is a firm believer that "everyone has the ability to be a great leader". Additionally, she has conducted research on the need for leadership development for college students. She has a Bachelor’s in Speech Communications from Georgia State University and a Master’s in Administrative Leadership from Central Michigan University. She is currently completing a second degree in Adult Education. LaKisha has used her talents to work as a speaker for companies and clients such as That’s Atlanta, Atlanta Diabetes Association and DLP HDTV at Atlanta Motor Speedway.LaKisha’s big break came when she was cast as a mentor/ life coach on MTV’s hit show MADE.LaKisha Brooks is a trailblazer in leadership and empowerment and lives by the motto of "Create the Strength, Discipline and Freedom to Define Your Self". She has created a leadership development training program with the same name. She performs speeches and host workshops on various topics and teaches leadership across the country and has worked with organizations and groups such as Clark Atlanta University, Georgia State University, Girls Inc. Atlanta Children's Shelter, Redan High School and more. Moreover, as Ms. Alabama US travels the country promoting her platform, “On the Rise: Breaking through the Glass Ceiling”: Empowering Women through Leadership. LaKisha also works as a career, life and leadership coach focusing on the areas of resume writing, interviewing, communication, leadership development and job search strategies, conflict management, teambuilding, emotional intelligence and goal setting. Lakisha hosts a monthly women's leadership meeting called "Business and Beauty". women, each month, learn various areas of leadership development and learn from other female leaders in the Metro Atlanta area.
