On February 23 1940, Civil Rights Icon and Former Seat Pleasant Md Councilwoman Joan Delores Jackson was born to Robert and Rebecca Jackson in New Jersey,then moved to Cambridge Maryland, hometown of another Civil Rights Icon Harriet Tubman.

The New Arthur Jackson Show, as part of our Black History Month Program is proud to present a Special Episode of The New Arthur Jackson Show on Blog Talk Radio Honoring Joan Delores Jackson -Perry, and her Life and Struggles to help others in need of decent affordable housing,clothing and other human needs. Mrs Perry fought hard against Police Brutality and Discrimination. She fought School Boards in Maryland, District of Columbia and Virginia for Quality Education for our children.
