If your child goes away to college and becomes ill, shouldn't the school contact you and let you know? One mother's nightmare prompted her to create a piece of legislation which she is physically walking across the country to Washington DC to promote its passage. The TCI-ICE Bill, which stands for Timothy Caused Just In Case of Emergency, requires institutions to contact parents if a child is being detained in any kind of educational institution as a result of illness. Activist Carol Jones discusses her preparation for a journey to Washington DC to fight for the rights of parents to be notified when something serious happens to their children.
