When a marriage ends, whether due to death or divorce, and a woman is left to raise her children alone, she generally doesn't plan to remain alone for the rest of her life. She hopes the male companion that enters her life will also be in harmony with her children from her previous relationship, and ideally everyone will get along, she'll remarry and live happily ever after. That's the hope. Unfortunately, that is very often not the reality, particularly when the children have reached the teen years.  A woman with teenage daughters has to be very cautious about bringing men around them. There are countless horror stories of men who tried to seduce or even sexually assaulted the teenage daughter of the woman they were dating. A woman with teenage sons has to face different issues. A sixteen year old son without a father present in the home sees himself as the male head of household and sees any other man entering his mothers's life as an intruder. How should a single mother handle these situations as she prepares to find a new husband?
