After a divorce, many fathers become absent in the lives of their children. There are many reasons why, and Attorney Jeffery Leving explains it in his book "How to Be a Good Divorced Dad." The important thing for parents to remember is that the well being of the children are more important than anything. Yet, the anger over a marital breakup often causes adults to use children as weapons in the war of vengeance. There are ways men and women can work together to insure that children receive the benefits of a mother and a father even if the two are no longer together. Attorney Leving, also author of "Father's Rights" , explains how men can overcome common obstacles and remain active in the lives of their children

We all hear about all the criteria for a healthy marriage, but how often do we hear Do You Need To Be Divorced to Know How To Be Married? Believe it or not, having been through the actual practicality of living with someone, and having a life and lifestyle dependency with someone else is priceless in this context, and no matter how well organized and thought out you are, you can NEVER be fully prepared for marriage or even shacking up together until having experienced some of the practical circumstances, and the variety of evolving phases of life and relationships/family, etc.

She received her B.A. in English from Trinity International University. Judy and her husband Tim reside in the Missouri Ozarks. They have six children and twenty grandchildren. Having a lifetime passion for literature and writing, at age nine she wrote her first story. Mrs. Carlson s particular love for the works of C.S. Lewis and George MacDonald have permeated this novel with their characteristic sense of wonder and longing. Her greatest desire is for all to know Who goes up to heaven and comes down?
Ahmad Davis - In 1999 I was divorced and a fully employed homeless man living out of the back of my Ford Explorer. During that time I began to take control of my finances by telling my money what to do, paying off debt, and accumulating thousands in savings and even picked up a second job. After a few weeks I wrote my first tithe check. I recognized a few years later, that God reconnected me with an old friend and I moved into a spare bedroom of his a few days later. During that time, I paid off over $10,000 in debt, saved thousands of dollars, and started taking LOTS of vacations that did not have a bill follow me home. In 2005, through thoughtful prayer, I became a Certified Financial Coach. Since then I have helped
• A multitude of couples stop divorce proceedings
• Individuals and couples payoff over $1.5 million dollars in debt (not including homes)
• People save over $500 thousand dollars in cash savings
This is part 2 of last week's discussion, as we look at marriage from the men's perspective. Men are expected to find a wife and get married, yet with America's 62% of marriages ending in divorce, perhaps there is something not being taught about HOW to find a wife. When it comes to finding a mate, beauty was always a strong attraction for men, but what about personality, character, values? Does anybody really teach men how to recognize those things? How is it so many divorced men say that their wives turned out to be incompatible? The way many divorced men describe the end of the marriage, its as if they met and married someone they didn't even know. How is it that the beautiful woman you married turned into a mean, hateful, hardhearted person that you couldn't stand to live with any longer? Did you have in mind what you wanted besides beauty? Are men really taught how to find what suits them? What was necessary yesterday does not apply today in terms of homemaking skills, farming skills, cooking skills, that were necessary for survival. What did your father teach you about women? What are you teaching your son? Or are men today being schooled from the streets only on how to get sex? What should elder men today be doing to stear younger men into healthy relationships that last?
What constitutes a family seems to be ever changing in the United States of America and around the world. The word family conjures and image of a man married to a woman with children together. That image is still typical. But you also have the divorced man and divorced woman with children from previous marriages. You know the Brady Bunch type that became the new normal in the 70’s. Then there was the proliferation of single parent families and now same-sex parent families have become the new normal. What are your thoughts on the new normal same-sex parent families? More importantly what does the scripture say regarding this most recent new-normal family type?
