Youth Organize For Peace

Out of tragedy is born a new movement for peace among the young companions of slain Chicago honor student Hadiya Pendleton. Her best friend who was present the day of the shooting discusses the prayer and fasting vigil her companions are waging to launch a nationwide youth movement for peace. She discusses ways that adults can help intervene in the lives of troubled youth in order to prevent future tragedies with the gun violence that has taken the lives of the innocent as well as those who have chosen to be involved in gangs, crime and drugs.
