It is difficult to describe what Muhammad Ali meant to Black folk in America and around the world in the 1960's and 70's. He represented our greatness and our humility; our divinity and our humanity, our superiority and our failings. While he was the greatest (literally) fighter in history, it was his life outside the ring that made him a Hero; and the most famous person in history. Now that he has left this existence, the media will work diligently to create his biography for the younger generations. While he really did love and manifest all of humanity, he was OUR black champion; and he was very clear to say so. Thank you brother Ali for your gift to the world.
