At the moment, the federal government offers virtually no help to the 3.8 million Americans who have been out of work for at least six months, http://finance.yahoo.com. Combined 7.1 million people are classified as either the working poor or previous workers.  They are not lazy or irresponsible. They do not need lessons on how to fish. They need help not verbal abuse.
