In public schools around the country, children are asked to come be students while living through some of the most horrific circumstance imaginable.  Many are coming to school, homeless, hungry, abused, neglected and traumatized.

Hearkening back to our RUHCUS Radio episode about the 12year old in Florida facing life in prison, speaking with our guest and Young Audiences Artist of the Year Gayle Danley www.GailDanley.com we will look at the following:

  • What is the role of the school in dealing with devastating home and social issues in students lives?
  • Is there space in academic study to help children process some of these issues?
  • Can children learn effectively with these sort of issues happening in their lives?
  • What should we be doing to meet students needs beyond the academic expectations of the school day?

Join us today at 1:00pm for this essential convesation.  TUNE INTO HEALING!
