An organizational and leadership psychologist, Dr Tavantzis has over 25 years of experience as a consultant and coach. He has mostly worked with leaders and teams in global pharmaceutical, and energy industries, as well as with federal and local government agencies and with hundreds of individuals on a one-to-one basis (primarily with leaders, managers, scientists, engineers, and lawyers, people in the emerging adult stage of life, as well as people ages 18-60). He coaches individuals and groups. One of Tom's many talents is being able use complex and scientific psychometric tools and translate findings into ongoing applied behavioral understanding and change for his clients in a supportive, fun, caring but firm manner.
Since 1996 Tom has been Director of the Organizational Psychology and Leadership program at Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia. He is the author of numerous articles and chapters on leadership, assessment and team development. His latest book was "Don't Waste Your Talent," (2005, 2nd Ed.) HIs third book "Hard-Wired: Your Talents at Work" will be published shortly.
He and his wife founded Innovative Management Development (IMD) in 1986 on a single thesis: When people know their strengths they can develop a life and career vision and fulfill their potential as well as contribute productivity to others.
