CALIFORNIA REFORM SEX OFFENDER LAWS – PROTECTING YOUR CIVIL RIGHTS.

Part 2: March 23

·         What is CA RSOL doing now to help educate the community.

·         How these ordinances and civil laws impact the civil rights of every citizen.

·         What communities can do to be involved.

Tonight, we continue to speak with attorney Janice Bellucci from California RSOL. This civil rights organization is a formidable force in repealing city ordinances that impose unrealistic rules against offenders who have to register.  Janice Bellucci will discuss the city or county ordinances that are aimed at restricting and preventing a person with a sex offense background from using specific public services or locations. These ordinances violate the constitutional safe guards we have fought for throughout the history of American law. What each of us in the community need to do to help change these laws, will be detailed.
