Lynne Z. Gold-Bikin, chair of the family law practice at law firm Weber Gallagher is one of the nation’s top family law attorneys, according to Worth Magazine. An advocate for victims of abuse, Gold-Bikin has dealt specifically with teenage violence through the PARTNERS program she spearheaded during her tenure as chair of the American Bar Association (ABA) Section of Family Law. A relationship education program offered to high schools nationwide, PARTNERS deals with issues like controlling behavior, jealousy, rape and violence within relationships (the initiative was a Time cover story and was featured in Hillary Rodham Clinton’s book It Takes a Village). Former chair of the ABA Section of Family Law and founder and former chair of its Domestic Violence Commission, Gold-Bikin can discuss: · the warning signs of teen dating violence, including intimidation and humiliation; · why teenagers are more vulnerable; · how online relationships can lead to cyber stalking and abuse; · what parents can do to prevent teen dating abuse and violence; and · the legal recourse abused teens and their parents have. Gold-Bikin has been a source for a wide range of media, including “USA Today,” “The Philadelphia Inquirer,” “The New York Times,” “Good Morning America,” “The Today Show,” and “20/20."
