We network to stand in one voice for not only ourselves but for women who can not use their voice. We tackle all issues with the government, state and local communities as well as worldwide groups through our own means or via non profit organizations whom we have partnered with to make that stance. Our Issues range from equal rights for all women to issues of homelessness among women, and everything in between. Our Goals are to empower women no matter where they are or who they are. She's the "every" woman in pursuit of the ultimate dream, and she didn't leave her family to lose the competition. Melissa's amazing weight loss was never the goal — getting healthy was. Her weight loss journey began five months ago when she weighed just under 300 pounds and realized she need to make a change. She chose not to do another diet, but to make a lifestyle change. Eating healthy and exercising regularly has been the key to her success. She has lost nearly 45 lbs since her first Nashville Star audition, and takes her weight loss as seriously as the competition. Each week, as she slims down and transforms her health, she is steps closer to becoming a music superstar. But, will she take it all?

Consider these recent findings: It is estimated that 8 million Americans have an eating disorder – seven million women and one million men. A study by the National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders reported that 5 – 10% of anorexics die within 10 years after contracting the disease; 18-20% of anorexics will be dead after 20 years and only 30 – 40% ever fully recovers. A devastating 1 in 10 people with eating disorders receive treatment.

    In October 2000, Kelly Zirbes began raising awareness of hepatitis C to honor her friend, Gioia, who lost her battle with the disease. Determined to get the word out about Hep C, she put together shows, toured all over the country with her band Kelly's Lot, ran marathons, and performed at community events that shared a common focus... to raise awareness of Hepatitis C. After more than 4 years of work dedicated to this mission, Kelly started the Hep C Postcard campaign and began building a coalition of musicians and street teams to help her raise awareness on a larger scale. There have been a variety of events including three telethons which aired live on the internet. The last one was aired on television in Southern California! All three telethons are airing on the internet. Get involved and help us get information to your community!

    Angela is ARTISTIC DIRECTOR - Angela Amoroso, Artistic Director and founder of SPAA, was a professional dancer and choreographer in New York. She has studied with some of the finest teachers in New York in all of the disciplines of Dance. Ballet with Wilson Morelli and at Joffrey Ballet; Jazz with Phil Black, Pepsi Bethel and Alvin Ailey; Modern with Martha Graham; Tap with Bob Audy and Phil Black. Her involvement with Community Theater on Long Island for both performance and choreography include Oklahoma, Fiddler on the Roof, Anything Goes, and West Side Story. Angela has also been a member of NYC’s “Dance Circle” Repertory Company where she has choreographed as well as performed. In 1982, Angela performed in the Equity Showcase of Jesus Christ Superstar in Manhattan. Her creative talents as a dancer and choreographer combined with her love for children, have made the Scripps Performing Arts Aademy a great success for the past 17 years.
