When God Waits Too Long

In Today's Scripture reading, we hear about God's first call to Abraham, Our Father in Faith. The story of Abraham, his wife, Sarah, and God's call for Abraham to kill his beloved son Isaac are as rich in imagery and meaning as they are in theological and spiritual realities.
