  • Striped Bananas interview September 30, 2017

    in Music

Striped Bananas  formed in 2010 amidst a void of psychedelic representation on the East Coast of the United States. Early reaction to our group was tough but there has recently be an acceptance and desire for the more experimental rock that our psychedelia presents. Our main line-up of Duncan, Chantelle and Andrew has remained constant 2010-2016.
Nothing will ever beat the classic groups like Moby Grape, The West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band, The Rolling Stones, The Beach Boys, Hendrix, The Doors, The 13th Floor Elevators etc... but we hope to bring a different and modern perspective to celebrating their wonderful music with the utmost respect.?

  • DORJA (Rock, Hard Rock)

    in Rock Music

Pop Art Painter Jamie Roxx (www.JamieRoxx.us) welcomes of DORJA (Rock, Hard Rock) to the Show!
www.dorjaband.com Dorja are a transatlantic hard rock sensation about to explode onto the scene. With a diverse and vast range of musical influences, their unique style is a nod to 70's & 80's classic rock bands such as Led Zeppelin, Guns N Roses and Deep Purple, whilst fusing with the modern sounds of contemporary rock bands such as Royal Blood, Queens of the Stone Age and Soundgarden. With their powerful, guitar-driven hooks and heavy drums, teamed with a vocal of raw energy to challenge Janis Joplin, Dorja have created one of the most exciting new bands today. Aiym Almas - Vocals  Becky Baldwin - Bass  Rosie Botterill - Guitar Sarah Michelle - Guitar  Anna Mylee - Drums
Dorja are an aggregate of young, yet experienced musicians from all over the world. The five members from England, Belgium and Kazakhstan met together for the first time in May 2016 in Los Angeles after months of writing collaboratively in online sessions. They recorded their debut demo track with Erich Gobel (Black Sabbath, John Mayer, Ray Charles) at West Triad Studios in California, created by Mark Schulman (Pink).  The transatlantic girls bond musically and the key to their sound is not only their love of music but also their complete creative freedom. Their debut E.P came out to spectacular reviews and their debut album is now eagerly awaited.
