Maria Brown is a a wife and a mother who has always had a vision to help teenage girls. Her educational and experiential background has helped in making her vision a reality. Pretty Girls Teen Center is the manifestation of her heart's desires. Her motto is, "if I can help at least one teen, then my labor is not in vain."

The PGTC mission is to promote the safety, permanency and holistic well-being of at-risk teenaged girls ages 12-19. The center encourages high self-esteem and assists adolescents in identifying and nourishing their purpose. Its staff is committed to assisting in the development of life skills that are essential in the transformation from a teenage girl into a young lady. PGTC's goal is to meet the demands and fill the gaps that prohibit teens from reaching their full potential. They focus on Social preparedness, Effective Communication, Career Guidance and G.O.A.L.S (Girls Obtaining A Love for Self). Pretty Girls Teen Center, Inc.’s seeks to redefine the word pretty. PGTC is where being pretty is self-assured.
