Ain't I A Woman: Femininity and the Alpha Female

A few times this week I have heard various discussion's surrounding the topics of strong women, Alpha females, and what role does a man play in the life of a strong female. One of the praise worthy notes of the movie The Black Panther was its depiction of strong Black women. I also watched a YouTube vidoe clip of a sista who said she has been labeled as an Alpha female. I mediated a disagreement between my son and my daughter where she needed his protection but because of her strong presence he didn't know how to respond. Which got me thinking.....Are strong women seen as less than feminine? Can a strong man handle a strong woman? Does a strong woman really need a man?
