Kulture Shake Episode 12 “Weekly Banter”

This week we bring you an interview with Alberta author Jacqueline Guest. Veronica Funk from Airdrie Public Library talks with Jacqueline about writing, reading and the love for books. Jacqueline has released 18 books. Her historical novels & mysteries for young adults touch on many issues that hyouth of today face in their every day lives. To name but a few of her books “Outcasts of River Falls”; “Belle of Batoche”; ”Rookie Season”; “Wild Ride” and most recently released this year her 18th book “The Comic Book War” More info at www.JacquelineGuest.com

We popped over to Davis Chevy Airdrie this past Saturday for their 2 year birthday celebration. Kim talks to Jessica Jacobs about their passion for community and local organizations such as Boys and Girls Club.

Music this week submitted by the talented Open Sails a Calgary/Airdrie based rock/pop band with a fabulous sound. Song we chose is “All of Me” not unlike Evanescence but still their own unique sound and a band that is going places. They just released their first album self-titled “Open Sails”

For more info on Open Sails you can find them on Facebook, Twitter and www.opensails.bandcamp.com and www.youtube.com/opensailsband
