1. In the News  2. The Bias Against Guns," John Lott, Jr.'s second book opposing gun control, discusses Lott's belief that liberals, both in the media and in politics, make a conscious effort to promote gun control and deceive the public. John Lott presents the findings and conclusions of his book, taking the position that less gun control allows for a safer country. Lott discusses what he perceives to be the bias in the media and among the American public against gun ownership as a means to prevent crime and violence in the country. Lott is critiqued in this forum by Americans for Gun Safety's Jim Kessler, who challenges his contentions, and George Mason University law professor Lloyd Cohen, who supports Lott's claims.  3.
