Good Wednesday morning.  For many this is the last day of the work week this week, but nowhere near the end of the work!

I want to talk today about thankfulness, but also address the stress that many of us feel through this "holiday season."  The other 1 percent, celebrates Scriptural holidays, and the Feast of Sukkot is sort of the prototype for Thanksgiving.  Thanksgiving is the abbreviated copy of the Holy Week, and has really begun to be the "official" kick off for the shopping season that culminates in Christmas.

Since I celebrate Holy Days rather than the traditional holidays, I am not as involved as many are in the stress and pressure of making all these events worthy of greeting cards and magazine covers.  When I worked a secular job, before I was in ministry, I always signed up to work holidays.  The pay was good and the stress was less.

If family gathers are stressful, remember tomorrow is just one day in 365, actually 366 this year, and that in itself is more than enough for which to be thankful.
