Do we pay attention to the Media because we want to know what our leaders are doing?

Are sources such as blogtalkradio giving us all the opportunity to be the media.

Will "main-stream media" lose it's grip on us as we evolve even more with technology?  Will we lose our desire to be led as we learn more about our leaders through technology that wasn't available 20 years ago?

Has media lost its easy-street because we no longer buy their stories because people are on the scene and give accurate up-to-the minute reports based upon objective reality streaming through their phones and computers, rather, than have a 5 PM or 10 PM edited version of a "Story"?

Will we lose our desire to follow media and leaders within the next 5 years and instead lead ourselves as our own media?
